  • Firstly, you need to submit a signed copy of the electricity tariff.
  •  Then, you should fill out an application form and submit it along with all the required documents. You should also make sure to keep a copy of the application form for your records. 
  • Next, you need to submit the printed application form along with attested documents to the office of the electricity company you are dealing with. 
  • After verifying your documents, you will receive a demand notice asking you to pay a certain amount of money. You need to submit this amount to a designated bank and provide a copy of the paid demand notice to the electricity company. 
  • Finally, after verifying the paid demand notice, a new meter will be installed.

1 You will be provided with the receipt issued by the Mepco officer on the submission of the application form. By recording the date of application submission, the seniority register will be created which is accessible to the applicant. 1 day

9 To build the connection, the office ordered the store to provide the required equipment. 3 days 

10 The required items will be delivered by the store. 5 days 

11 After getting the necessary tools, the SDO will build up a applicant new connection. 5 days 

Category 1 (Load up to 15KW) 

The person in charge of managing operations will review your application and determine whether it can be approved or not. This process will take 30 days. You can find more information about this category in the table provided. 

Category 2 ( Load 16KW – 70KW/400V) 

If you have applied for a new meter installation under Category 2, the process will be similar to Category 1, but it will take longer. The estimated time for completion of this category is 44 days. Your application has been accepted by the Deputy Manager, and a team comprising of the Assistant Manager of Operation, M&T, and the Deputy Manager will handle the installation of your meter.

Category 3 ( Load 71KW-500KW/ 400V)

To apply for a new Mepco meter installation, you will need to follow the same process as Category 2. However, please note that this may take a bit longer, approximately 58 to 73 days. The Operation Manager will be responsible for reviewing your application and making the final decision to approve or deny it.
